The mission of Christians in the Visual Arts is best expressed in three primary and longstanding commitments. CIVA and its members are:
Artists create culture. They have eyes to see, ears to hear, and hands to make. The genius of Christian community is that all who belong are invited to participate, invited to bring their skills and their passions to contribute to the greater good.
     As men and women bear God’s image by all kinds of creative expression, CIVA equips those called to the visual arts to flourish in their holy vocation and to pursue it with excellence.
The visual arts help the Church to rehearse and remember the biblical story. The visual arts help congregations worship more deeply. The visual arts help Christian communities build a bridge to the non-believing world. The visual arts deepen times of personal devotion and prayer.
     As the Church awakens to its need for art and the artists who make it, CIVA deploys its expertise and resources to help the Church embrace the visual arts and bring work of quality and substance into its centers of worship and learning.
Culture is that place where we “live and move have our being,” that place where, each day and in every way, God’s people either magnify the presence of God’s Kingdom or diminish it.
     As the world needs the salt, light, and leaven of those who follow Jesus, CIVA cultivates an incarnational presence in contemporary culture that is marked by serious art learning and practice, intellectual rigor, prophetic voice, and a spirit of hospitality.

Omega Course—February 24th,  8 week study of the book of Revelation
Check out this video  http://www.wnd.com/ This is not the "pale horse" that we are looking for -  but this is a fascinating video - possibly of the "prince" of the air that believes he rules over the Islamic nations. The final 7 year tribulation will happen. We are heading for it quickly. The book of Revelation is extremely relevant today and must be read, talked about, studied consistently so that we'll not be deceived by the ultimate human liar - the antichrist himself.
   THE Pale Horse shows up when the fourth seal is broken - Rev. 6:8:  In the timeline of Revelation - When the "pale horse" shows up we will already know who the Antichrist is - He will have been revealed as the "man of peace" he will have promised (counterfeit) world peace and safety and have made a covenant with many nations.
I Thes 5:1-3; Dan 9:27
    The Pale horse of Rev 6:8 will be given power to kill with the sword, hunger and death and with beasts of the earth (animals or governments).
    We are in the birth pangs of the end times But don't be deceived - we aren't in the final 7 years yet - but they will happen as SURE as we breath.
